People often ask me “What’s your story?” And I say, “I have many stories to tell.” That’s because, in the course of my life, I have travelled through many societies. From south Mumbai where I grew up to the coarse rural settings of Rajasthan during my early banking days. Then back to the glitzy world of media in Mumbai; everyday encounters with celebrities of Bollywood, Artists, Journalists, creative luminaries all! My unforgettable days with the Times Group Mumbai. That’s when the entrepreneurial bug bit me.
Six startups later, through New Delhi, Bahrain and New Jersey USA, into the world of high finance, private equity, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, with knocks and kudos along the way, I came back to India for an extended period. Writing consumed me. It was cathartic. It opened my heart and mind to the journey.
In every society, I came across prejudice, misogyny, oppression especially towards girls and women. Towards the innocent buried in sacrifice. Exploitation of those bound in values
My stories speak about those subjugated, but irrepressible.
Enjoy!
